Ist truecrypt.sourceforge.net sicher?

This page is safe and only instructs how to migrate from Truecrypt to Bitlocker. Truecrypt app was ended under strange circumstances, which were never clarified. I believe that the program itself is not a thread but it is not safe enough as a program to encrypt critical data.

Used to be a great resource to encrypt your data. Unfortunately as of 2014, I believe, TrueCrypt has been compromised. The site may not be a problem for just reading but do no download any software. The TC project has now been taken over by VeraCrypt (https://www.veracrypt.fr/)

Truecrypt has been independently audited twice now and no NSA backdoor or major security issues has been found. I somewhat question how the website states Truecrypt is insecure. Of course, since it will (supposedly) never be updated again, it can't be considered secure in future, but that is not to say it is secure for the time being. This website only allows for Truecrypt 7.2 to be downloaded, which only decrypts existing Truecrypt volumes. Instead, download Truecrypt 7.1a from another website, that actually has full functionality. The website is suspicious because it encourage the use of Bitlocker, a closed source proprietary encryption option for Windows that has been known to have an NSA backdoor.

This site seems to be used to destroy Truecrypt credibility and address to the download and usage of insecure software. For secure cryptography continue to use Truecrypt 7.1 that has passed the Open Crypto Audit (not the 7.2 published here) and get it from reliable sites.

truecrypt is hated by all thieves, liars, spammers, hackers, Govt. spy agencies and most of all: Microsoft/CIA. Virtually unbreakable and is used by the massive AMAZON Online Store which is attacked constantly by everyone from Script-kiddies to NSA. Go get it, use it especially between friends when you post secrets and private details about ANYTHING.

TrueCrypt (7.1a) has nothing wrong and the claims in this website are ridiculous. The attempt to divert users towards MS's proprietary alternative software, most likely containing backdoors, is highly unethical (my concern isn't about a jury accessing data through backdoors, but what about "administrative" access without safeguards, and even worse what about crackers that get access to the backdoors?) People, get your truecrypt copy elsewhere, without worries: it's safe (get v. 7.1a, v. 7.2 can only read archives). Unlike proprietary garbage the developer's gov you can't trust to begin with... As for children, this site is harmless but also useless.

Hier behauptet irgendjemand, das TrueCrypt unsicher sei und das man auf Bitlocker umsteigen und seine sensiblen Daten dorthin migrieren soll. Wer immer das hier geschrieben hat, ist ein Lügner und spricht nicht für die Macher von TrueCrypt. Diese Seite wurde nicht von den Entwicklern von TrueCrypt eingestellt! Ich empfehle dringend weiterhin die Nutzung von TrueCrypt, allerdings nicht die neueste Version 7.2, sondern die Version 7.1, die nach wie vor gute Sicherheit bietet. Das hier ist eine Seite von Lumpen und Betrügern.
