If you've received an email from "somescamsite.us.com" then downscore ""somescamsite.us.com" NOT "us.com". I agree with M Finnerman. Those downmarking this site do not understand the internet. It is the equivalent of downmarking "com" or "co.uk" because they've received an email from ***** or spamsite.co.uk. In fact fly by night sites are more likely to use ".com", "co.uk" or other country TLDs than a "us.com" because they are cheaper to "buy" and usually easier to move from server to server.

people who say all websites ending in "us.com" are spam or phishing websites fundamentally understand nothing about the DNS and their reviews can't be relied upon - this is like saying all websites ending in .net or .info or .org are bad or good just because of your experience with one website! if the people using WOT don't know enough to understand this, then their reviews and opinions really can't be taken seriously. the only thing any site ending in ".us.com" has in common with any other is that it uses the same domain ending (in the same way millions of sites use .net, .org, .com on its own, etc). absolutely ridiculous. there are lots of individual websites out there that are good and bad - but whether they're good or bad has nothing to do with the fact that they end in ".us.com" or not!
