Verizon is a good ISP. Their service works as promised. I left for a month to try 100 mbps business services from a competitor and I couldn't get back fast enough. At least in my area, they are the best offered. They are not perfect. Contacting them can be time consuming and some reps are not as professional as I would like them to be, but I expect that at any ISP. I have not had any problems with their websites, their services, or with vendor reliability. They are far more reliable than their competition in my area, that is for sure. Verizon also offers a lot to the IT and business communities. They offer free resources such as white papers and other security stuff. They just developed a site for IT admins to anonymously post breaches so the security community can at least establish a pattern of attack (most cos. do not report hacks due to risk of losing face/customers). They also are a part of or own (not sure which) of ICSA Labs, who are highly respected in the security product certification field. I heard of ICSA before I knew VZ owned them, that piece of info is pretty new to me. You readers should check it out, here is a link: Some Links: Verizon/ICSA hxxps://www2.icsalabs.com/veris/ , More About Verizon VERIS: hxxp://www.darkreading.com/insider-threat/167801100/security/attacks-breaches/228200715/index.html White Papers and other Security tips hxxp://www.verizonbusiness.com/resources/1002a2a10-111-Security.xml If you go back a page on this last link, that leads to all the other resources available to the public for their education and informing. To me, this is above and beyond what an ISP is required to do and it really puts them in a different class in my book. Whether you like them or not, check out what they are actually offering in those links and know that the service is in fact reliable.
