To view this site, one must first join since access is blocked by a large pop-up, and it costs money to join. This is an attempt to bait the user into spending money and is untrustworthy.

It claims it is made by the school, but then later states it is not made by the school , and wants 30 dollars

When you first visit the site there is this popup asking you to register or login. The popup says nothing about the site costing money but it does cost money. This is some sort of popup which won't be blocked with ordinary popup blockers. I think it uses flash or java script. There is also an ad on the side in the middle of the page advertising a t-shirt. I have Adblock plus but it did not block this ad.

The site appears to be free when you first get to it but then you can't access your alumni without paying a fee.

Site claims to be free but once you sign up most of the content is not available unless you upgrade for $20. This site is not affiliated with my high school. And it will not refund membership dues or money paid for products. It also has an auto-rebill policy by default. This is a poor man's classmates.com.
