On January 7th, 2025, I purchased a pair of Balenciaga BB0157S-004 sunglasses from Amevista.com, the e-commerce platform of AMEVISTA S.R.L., company number: 14956881008, REA: RM-1557897. Upon arrival, the sunglasses were, as the seller admitted, "temporarily defective". Amevista told me that I should take them to an optician here, in Ireland, to correct them. One arm is higher than the other. I took them to the optician weeks later, only for them to say that the problem is not fixable, that the frame is defective, that it could not be fixed. Eventually, Amevista agrees to an exchange. I sent them back to Rome on March 11th. I paid for the shipping! After a protracted "processing time", they eventually ship out the new pair. They said that the exchange would be covered by manufacturer warranty. When I returned home to Ireland, on April 9th, I reviewed the "new" pair to see that they have sent me back the exact same sunglasses, the ones that they admitted were defective. They are denying that they sent the defective pair back to me. I cannot attach photos, but they are the same par. They even came in the same plastic bag! With the same date on them. The same lot number. The same internal sticker. I have contacted Kering Eyewear to see whether the exchange actually took place. I would avoid this business unless you want an endless headache! They pretend that they check every shipment before they send them out. Clearly not! Loops of lies with customer service. The worst online shopping experience I have ever had.
