Is apache.com Safe?

Would seem to be a malicious site. When going to a page on the site, they somehow made my computer use more and more of RAM until the entire RAM was used up and my computer was unable to function (froze). When I restarted chrome and went back to all the pages I was on (I didn't realize it was this website yet) the same exact thing happened. Afterwards somehow both my antimalware programs inexplicably were turned off (which is a step that malicious programs do to allow them to download more malware). When I turned them on again, they would shut off on their own a few minutes later! This happened a few times. (Since then I did ran top notch anti-malware programs and found nothing). That could indicate 3 things. 1)Apache.com figured out how to crash the browser and turn off the anti-malware but didn't figure out how to actually download a real virus. Or, 2 & 3)They made such good viruses that the top anti-malware software companies weren't able to detect them. (The fact that my computer was behaving ever since doesn't mean anything since maybe they were only trying to hack my personal information or recruit my computer as part of a botnet). User beware!
