I downloaded American phonetics from ENGLISH FILE and I finished up with 5 viruses and trojans and the site apk-dl.com keeps coming up with porn. I would stay clear from them.

Be very careful when downloadoing APK's from other sources than the official Play Store; these Apps are mostly downloaded and redistributed without the original publisher's consent. The apps could even be tampered with and wrapped with all kinds of malware. Please stay away...

Based on the WOT rating, I went to this site to download an apk onto my Android tablet. It immediately went to pages wanting me to download this or that, including a full porn site. Then it downloaded an apk I know I didn't click on. Fortunately, my Avast Mobile Security detected it.

Could be the ad they showed, but faked blue screen of death trying to get user to load software to fix the problem.
