Is avatarmovie.com Safe?

The site itself is not a bad site, but I had a major issue with one of their features. Since I had purchased the DVD, I decided to sign up for "The Avatar Program", which requires you to enter your first name, last name, email address, date of birth, city, state/province, zip/postcode, country, and media type purchased (Blu-Ray/DVD). Once I had completed this I recieved an email with a link to my account/first exclusive rewards. The link is formatted http://www.avatarmovie.com/register/confirm.html?id=[user email here] and there is no login process. When I clicked on the link, it says "You are not registered". I have waited long enough after the signup process to let it go through but it doesn't work. This area of the site is a info harvesting con!
