Is backwaterreptiles.com Safe?

When researching this site, I found multiple horror stories from people saying that while the animals they received were alive as promised, they were in terrible condition and died within a couple of days. Not only that, but Backwater has been known to defame good vendors by accusing them of practices that they themselves are guilty of (such as drop-shipping)

My friend recently ordered a chameleon off of this website and it passed away shortly after she received it. The chameleon would not eat any food or drink water unless directly handled to him. Upon further investigation, many other reviews on the internet clearly state to stay away from this vendor, claiming that animal were either dead upon arrival, close to death, or sick. We've come to the conclusion that the animal my friend received was sick upon arrival and nothing could have been done to prevent mortality. Stay away from this site.
