Is backyardchickens.com Safe?

This site uses large number of scripts. Frankly it kinda startled me. If you are using the Firefox plugin NoScript you will see what I'm talking about. In an attempt to get a feature of the site working, I started allowing scripts. I allowed all of them, and the website came back with more scripts asking for permission, so I allowed all of them, and again the website wanted to load more scripts. It followed that pattern repeatedly.

BYC is a well established [though the forum was recently updated] superb one stop mini e-library for chicken information,it has great articles which have always gone back to; to help with mine, and the forum is full of helpful friendly people. it does have some trolls and sockpuppets though-with some pretending to own chickens and giving out either fake info or info they have just copied and pasted, a common enough problem on todays forum but unfortunate all the same for a fantastic forum. people shoud always make sure to back up any info they get off people before using it on their own chickies as some people can be misinformed and posting what coud end up being damaging information,especialy when it comes to health.
