Is boxoft.com Safe?

***** ***** My recommendation is to not bother with Boxoft Screen Video Capture.

WARNING: After un-installing their software you will discover there is a program called Boxoft Toolbox installed in C:\ProgramData\Boxtools\ The executables are called Boxofttoolbox.exe and Toolbox.exe and there is NO normal way to un-install them. These programs will start up with your Windows boot and also try to connect to the boxoft.com website. To un-install them you can try the uninstall.exe in the folder but it will leave many files untouched.

I´d like to convert a djvu file to pdf and tried out the djvu converter from boxsoft. At first my anti-keylogger programm blocked the process called "rlvknlg.exe" which tries to read the screen and hook the keyboard. this process can´t be finished within the taskmanager because the process resurrects after stopping. a lot of registry entries were made by this software and it took much time to clear everything what the program leaves in registry, folders an so on. Plus that the boxsoft programs installs useless things like a heavy-to-kill toolbar inclusive autostart entry. i think if one program of this suspect company do so many threadful things, then the others will do it also. take care if you are surfing at this site.
