When you are going to a torrent site like btjunkie.org you need to keep in mind what you are going there for. No, it's not really designed to be a child friendly site, though they are pretty good about keeping questionable content out of feeds unless you give them permission. It is completely possible to download malware, but that is your fault not the site's fault - they are not responsible for content or for downloads, they are just a listing. Make sure you're checking your comments, don't download .zip files unless they have a lot of reliable ratings and you will probably be okay.
have used the site successfully for years and recently been hit with lots of malware attacks. today alone, more than 6 messages from my security of blocked attempts.
i would say until btjunkie gets the site cleaned up, be very careful and have really good protection/security on your computer or risk having to take it to the shop several times as i did, prior to increasing security.

As soon as I went to this site, Avast blocked it as it was trying to install a trojan. Make sure you have a decent firewall and antivirus if you're browsing.
norton security suite 4 updated to 8/28/11 reports blocked web attack on firefox: exploit kit variant - severity: high. shame - not many reliable torrent sites left. maybe that's the nature of the beast.
As far as Torrents go, it's a perfect site, however... before you download something, be sure you have a good Anti-Virus because some Torrent Uploaders think it's funny to ruin other peoples' days by planting some sort of virus in them.
A word of advice as well, if you don't know how to work Torrents, you might as well leave, because you'll end up destroying your own computer.
site is very good for torrents my faviourte if i need something its always there make sure u read the comments before downloading! becareful some are lies
