I am a single father going through an Annulment with a dangerous woman. I have an order of protection against her. The judge ruled in my favor recently that her mother is only allowed limited supervised visits. I need the extra help to keep her safe. ***** terminated my account without a refund while I am trying to save my daughters life. PayPal did give me a refund. ***** is evil. Supervision is pretty standard until trust is established as not all nannies are vetted. Many I found were downright dangerous, yet they're allowed to have accounts. It is more common than people realized as my sister was beaten by our nanny. As an infant my Nanny wrapped my in blankets when I had a fever, I nearly died.

Fully vetted and Licensed Senior Care agencies have "Big Warnings" on them because they don't verify them, leading the viewer to think that those businesses are illegitimate. On the contrary, the individual doesn't have the same level of scrutiny. I called to ask them and they said that's because their site was set up for childcare not senior care. For a tech company that will gladly take my money to advertise on with no value because I have warning stickers all over my page, they sure don't seem interested in fixing that huge flaw... So here we are with the greatest web address ever "care.com" who has shown their disdain for the customers who actually pay them...

They way they present there monthly packages is phoney. All the subscription say monthly with a 3 or 12 mos subscription. Then you are billed monthly. Its bogus.. I just double checked and it has a star beside the 49$ month saying it auto renew... then if I want an ongoing service why wouldn't I choose the other discounted option.

I feel like care.com is an elaborate scam. The good first: they really do vet their candidates thoroughly and do good background checks. Their members are first rate. The people running the website are just the opposite. .com scammers of the first magnitude, imho. First, just accept- ignore all the sucker-come-on lines- that you WILL NOT get a referral without giving them your credit card info and letting them charge it. Things like "want xyz's contact information? Sign up for a free account!", are just blatant fraud. Yeah, you can sign up for a free account. And then pay if you want the person's contact info. I got some satisfaction, though. They publish zip codes by the peoples' names, and the one I was interested in had an odd first name. They give last initials too, and show a profile pic, which, in her case, was an actual head shot. Wife's a legal secretary and she did a quick search on the first name, last initial, by zip and we got about 3 possibilites back. Went to facebook and one of the pictures matched! Sent a PM...and she was a great sitter. So, they're legit in that they do what they advertise they do. Well, actually. But the business end is all too typical "hey, it's the 'net- we can shuck and jive and make up rules to our heart's content!". They need to fire the CTO and keep the business manager! Totally amazes me how GOOD startups totally shoot themselves in the foot with their tech people. You know what's right and wrong. A techie telling you, "but it's on the internet and that makes it OK...normal even" should be fired. With prejudice. They don't care if they sink your business, they roll right along and do it to someone else. Get over the mindset that says that you have to do anything the IT people demand. Yea, they'll whine a lot; you just take names and then hand out pink slips. The level of technical understanding to run these sites is no longer a specialized skill. Hire people that will grow your business and not grimy little tech-groids that think they know everything they need in life from their video games. Another red flag is that the registered address with the Massachusetts Secretary of State is: 77 4TH AVE SUITE 500, WALTHAM, MA 02451 USA does not exist. 64 4th does, and there's a vacant lot being built on across the street, but nothing like number 77. The officers are listed as: PRESIDENT SHEILA MARCELO 1000 WINTER ST., STE 4500 WALTHAM, MA 02451 USA TREASURER STEVEN BOULANGER 1400 MAIN STREET WALTHAM, MA 02451 USA SECRETARY STEVEN BOULANGER 1400 MAIN STREET WALTHAM, MA 02451 USA DIRECTOR TONY FLORENCE 5425 WISCONSIN AVE CHEVY CHASE, MD 20815 1400 Main Street in Waltham, MA also does not exist. That location is occupied by the Waltham Weston Corporate Center, which has an entrance on Main, but whose address is Jones Road. He is also listed as an officer on Smart Destinations, Inc, Boston. Business news sources indicate that Boulanger is no longer "interim CFO", suceeded by Michael Echenberg. Are the filings not up to date, or was that just the CFO position? Sheila Lirio Marcelo is the founder. Her addresses check out. She has a good reputation- which only goes to show what's considered acceptable for a .com.

Great way for those needing care givers and those seeking employment as a care giver. But a warning to those seeking employment: there is a common scam going down around care.com where someone poses as needing care for a loved one, hires you over email or even with a phone call, sends a large check to "purchase a wheel chair" or something. I don't know where it goes from there because I did not deposit check. I can imagine that the supplier is part of the scam or they want excess money wired back or something.

Great way to find a side job, the site checks creditability and is very reliable.

This website starts sending you marketing emails if you register an account and continues to send them after you have deleted the account.

Great site. I have been a registered user for this website. Great place to find help with childcare, other jobs, etc. They do a background checks on everybody so others can see what qualifications, safety, others have.

Well, it keeps redirecting me to other things I'm not trying to go to. You can still use this site a little, but only do it for finding someone really quickly.

Do Not Want Cookies! So far it seems like a great site, possibly better than something like Monster for sitters and certainly better (safer) than Craig's List but it will put invisi-cookies and trackers on your computer. As I was applying for membership, I clicked to go back to the homepage on another tab and it redirected me to my half complete profile. After I finished applying AND LOGGED OUT, I wanted to check out the services but every page I tried to go to would AUTO-REDIRECT me straight o my profile and even had "Hi, *-mynamehere-*" at the top! Did this every time until I manually cleared my cookies.
