Is centex.net Safe?

The site is fine... But the company has some serious problems. Their advertising is no doubt FALSE. They say that they can bring you speeds up to 6 mbs, but they can't even give you 1.5 mbs. I am paying $30 a month for the 2 mb connection and I have never seen the connection get over 1 mb. To be honest, 90% of the time, I am getting a HALF a meg. During the busy times, your connection is pretty much that of dial-up. So essentially, you are paying for wireless dial-up. Too bad dial-up is much more reliable and does not lie about their connection. A tip to anyone in my town and reading this, don't even pay them a penny... You are just buying dial-up. The frustration of having an Internet connection that doesn't work like it should is definitely greater than that of having a connection that is slow. At least if you have a slow connection, you know that it is all it is potentially capable of. But just a little real life example on how horrible Centex's Internet is: The other day, I decided to get back into online gaming after getting my computer working. The game I was downloading was only 3.5 GB. Guess how long it took to download it? Well, 12-14 hours. You read right. TWELVE to FOURTEEN hours for a game that is not even that huge! And gaming is worse. Everyone around you is running around and dying while you are helpless to help them. Take my advice and just go without Internet... Or go with AT&T. I hate to say this, but AT&T's Internet is better.
