I want to be clear about my relationship with “Choxi”. I am not a customer. However, I am a customer of other sites, such as Amazon. And I can tell you from experience that Choxi's “Retail” prices seem to be way off base. For example the Panasonic DECT 6 cordless phone has a “Retail Price” of $409.00 on Choxi's website. I bought what appears to be, nearly the same phone, earlier this year from Amazon for $67.86! Now the stated price from Choxi is $39.00. That's seems a good price. However, as Choxi states, the item is “refurbished”, meaning it has either been returned, or is otherwise, not in a condition to resell at the so-called” retail price. Amazon's “Suggested Retail Price”, by the way, is $89.00. A long, long way from Choxi's “Retail Price” of $409.00. Amazon's “refurbished” price is $54.50, a difference of $15.50 compared to Choxi's “refurbished” price. I did not take into account the shipping costs from either site, as I am an Amazon “Prime” customer and get free shipping from them. Interestingly, there is a similar phone on Panasonic's website, model number KX-TG433SK-RF listed for $34.95 (refurbished). It has the same number of handsets and appears to have the same specs. It would appear to be an even better deal than either Choxi, or Amazon, however, again the price does not include shipping. Also, Choxi advertises a Canon T5 SLR (not to be confused with the T5i) camera for $399.00. Amazon has the same camera for $549.95, but their price includes many more extras – mainly a 75–300 mm Canon zoom lens. The Choxi version has a few, nearly worthless accessories – like a gadget bag, tripod, shoulder strap, etc. (as does Amazon). Interestingly, also, is the fact that Choxi doesn't provide feedback like Amazon does. While feedback can be misleading and even bogus, when there are enough feedback responses I believe they can have have some credibility – both negative and positive.
