They offered a free domain registration service (myname).co.tv
Like many other free services it was abused by criminals, as seen at
Now the free service has been withdrawn, as you can see:
"Thank you for your interes to CO.TV. We have canceled our Free Domain Name Registration service. If you wish, you may check our Premium Domain List."
There are so many abuses that still need to be cleaned up before http://www.co.tv can be deemed to be reputable. The clean-up should be automated based on discovering all domains that use the documented redirections.
The description of the site still reads:
Register your FREE .co.tv domain name! No ads, free URL redirection (free URL forwarding), DNS set-up or Zone Records. You will get free Sitebuilder tool for each domain. Get your free domain right now. "
Google banned the sites under this second level domain from own search result for user protection against malwares or/and exploits.
(However, Trend Micro believes "this 'banning' solution is not so good")

I wouldn't be too happy giving them my money for a 'premium' domain, however, their free service is excellent and works just fine! I think this is better than .co.cc as it looks a tad more professional and the site is much faster. Recommend!
I have 2 sites on it as well, if you want to check the domains:
This website is a domain registrar, but hosts many of the live streaming scams. Example: http://onlinesports.co.tv/2010/07/watch-spain-vs-paraguay-live-p2p-stream-online-on-pc-world-cup-south-africa-2010tv-programs/
Not confirmed, but suspect of spyware/adware, because: Received in phishing spam. Spam said to click link titled http://bill.aol.com on the surface, but a concealed hyperlink underlying this title was "http://www.americaonline-news.co.tv/", and this is not a domain of AOL (AmericaOnLine). The Site Information Tool on Webmaster Tips (wmtips.com) shows that the Whois - Domain registration info yields the following questionable data:
Registrant Contact: co.tv
person surname ()
Administrative Contact: co.tv
person surname (email@example.com)
And, server response data includes the folllowing "expires" line:
expires: Thu, 19 Nov 1981 08:52:00 GMT
(28 years and 7 months ago!)Where is "londra"? Perhaps this is French or Spanish or Italian for London? In Lady Charlotte Guest's translation of the Mabinogion (trans. approx. 1850), London was rendered from the original welsh as "Londres." But.londra?
I am self-educated on the Web, and I do not fully know what these data mean. My dominant impression is that there might be something shady here, and I shall avoid it.
