Is creditchecktotal.com Safe?

I signed up a couple of months ago. Yesterday, I received a five day notice that the number of credit reports would be reduced from three to one, before the end of the current billing cycle. That's a shameful bait-and-switch tactic. Here's the text of the email received on 10/4/2015: We have made some updates to our website, which will change the number of times you can access your updated Three Bureau Credit Report with FICO® Scores, powered by Experian®, Equifax® and TransUnion® to once per month. I made an account to publish this comment. I'm working with a lawyer who specializes in credit and this is his preferred site. I was leery, but made a temporary credit card and signed up anyway. The phone number had an automated system which canceled my account right away. It wasn't an issue at all. It looks spammy, but unless they have some spam marketing I'm unaware of, I had a positive experience with this site.

They provide the availability of "monthly" reports from Experian, Equifax & TransUnion, the three major credit bureaus. This alone is worth more than the monthly fee. They also calculate and provide me with a credit score for each said bureau (likewise every month). Perhaps ever more importantly, they monitor my credit files for possible identity theft, the addition of (potentially erroneous) negative information, inquiries and other info. which may be of concern. In addition, customer service has proven most helpful. I have not had a single negative experience with this company/service. That said, if the monthly access and continuous daily monitoring is more than you need, it "may" be possible to request that your account (and the monthly charge) be temporarily suspended, and then simply reactivate it (perhaps) every 3 to 6 months) when you desire to check said reports and credit scores. IMHO, it would be worth a telephone call to so confirm if the monthly fee is an issue!
