The site's page loading speed is slow, and it then makes my browser unresponsive. It actually crashed my browser two times.
I have scanned this url with Virustotal and it says its clean, but I have doubts.

One of the few good, trustworthy and legal websites for Minecraft mods. Mod authors upload their mods on the site themselves, i. e. the files are not stolen from them without permission.

Tons of cookies and ads scattered throughout the whole site. It's like the Kazaa of game mods and addons. Curse bogs down my fairly new computer due to the adds and who knows what else.
Curse is the curse of computers, sadly I can't live without it because of their extended library of WoW Addons.

now i suppose will hate this , but its true ive never really disliked curse infact i use the site to download WOT (World Of Tanks) mods but downloading directly form curse will cause problems for you if you dont have Adblocker + and popup blocker and off course WOT , cause i noticed when i downloaded a mod a pop up window appeared for firefox and yes WOT rated it as malicious with a negative RED circle so infact Curse redirects you to malicious sites
