Fallacious claims about the veracity of science. This site supports harmful alternative medicine practices that result in the deaths of many each year. In addition, there are some VERY suspicious links on the main page to phishing and malware infested domains. There's nothing good at all about this site. Stay away.

I don't know why it's got a bad rating. He doesn't say anything to offend anyone, it's just logic based on the man's argument. Maybe he's not 100% correct, but no human is.

This site is full of total rubbish, run by a self admitted mental health patient, who claims to be a "true skeptic" but his reasoning follows none of the basic tenements of logical argument, namely reliable and valid evidence and the lack of logical fallacies in his arguments. The website has a long and sordid history of total rubbish. For more information I reccomend a good view of the Rationalwiki article on this site. - *****

The Christian response to truth is to label it as dangerous. There's nothing dangerous or hateful on this site. It's a skeptical analysis site and it debunks religious claims. Shame on the liars who, in the name of a religion that says "Thou Shalt Not Lie" are spreading lies about this site.

A collection of vapid rants, with the term "science" tacked on to lend credibility to "Winston Wu", owner of sex tourism site ***** References: ***** *****

This site is a TRUE skeptic site in that it is open to all ideas for discussion. I found some very good definitions of the debunker crowd here which of course THEY don't like (hence some poor ratings).

Great site. Very much needed. Helps combats the brainwashing and logic fallacies of the pseudoskeptic movement. Contains many logical reasons and arguments given in a civil and intelligent manner.
5
Fallacies. Misleading Information. Circular reasoning as a means to debunk circular reasoning.

SCEPCOP is not a scam. There is no basis for that. It does not ask for money.
I bet the reason why this site has a bad WOT rating is because of all these guys from these MLM organizations giving it a bad rating just to hide this site.

I think WOT is often abused to prevent attention to certain sites. I would suggest WOT conducts regular analysis of reviewers in relation to the types of, and objects for their ratings, so WOT will be protected from being misused to persecute otherwise good sites on the web, whose only offense is that someone does not agree with that particular site. Special medical and public issues are often evaluated negatively if they are not mainstream. I'm actually starting to think that "poor reputation" by WOT in MY searches may be a good indicator that there is something interesting to find on these sites. And ... I must be right in these presumptions because I am extremely rarely disappointed, when I ignore someone else's bad WOT ratings.

Not necessarily a scam, but misrepresents science. Not recommended.

It does not represent establishment science necessarily. Those are institutions subject to power, politics, censorship and corruption. The site is about logic and critical thinking and freethinking.
When did alternative views become scams? There are a lot more scam site than this that aren't listed. But for some reason this one is. I don't think they're trying to get you to buy anything. There aren't any viruses... Hmm... Makes me think the ratings are opinion based.

Wow, I wasn't aware of these findings. I'm glad I read this it sure changed my view.

The website is geared for social control, misrepresenting open-mindedness, science, and skepticism.
6
A site dedicated to every scam artist, fraud and conman to defend their business as real. The amount of sheer nonsense on this site is outstanding. Avoid!

Not true. Nowhere on the site do we say that we defend all con artists and con men.
good site, nothing harmful to be seen there. since when are opinions considered 'phishing or other scams'?

Science does not address paranormal (supernatural) notions per se. This site is deception for those unaware of the distortions presented. If a claim is not testable such that a cause effort association and be established or disprove, it generally falls outside of the realm of science.

It's very obvious that they are pushing woo and trying to discredit actual skepticism. here's a quote from their web site. "Essentially, their job is to ridicule and discredit anything that challenges the status quo or establishment view. They do so by following these core rules, which they ALWAYS START and END with: Any idea that challenges the status quo, establishment view, or materialistic paradigm is to be ridiculed and discredited. Believe anything the establishment tells you with unquestioning faith and zero skepticism. Critical thinking is only to be used at anything that challenges the status quo, never at the status quo itself." Thanks for telling me what I'm supposed to believe. This site is trash

The quote is true. Actual skepticism is the questioning of everything, which is what Pyrro, the founder of the work "skeptic" said. It does not mean defending the establishment and debunking all freethought. The pseudoskeptics are the ones using the word "skeptic" wrong. That has been demonstrated on SCEPCOP. You are incorrect and trying to claim the opposite of what's true.
Primarily devoted to the self-promotion of the "founders". Contains misleading disinformation purporting to criticize skeptics, actually devoted to promoting conspiracy theories and the occult. Plagiarizes the name of a legitimate organization.
