Is destinationtips.com Safe?

This is maybe the worst disinformation site on the 'net. It's pretty slick, which makes it particularly deadly. It looks like legitimate travel advice for various destinations. The first clue it isn't, is the volume of spam all over the page, all of the lowest caliber. Second is that you have to navigate 5 spammy pages to get five "tips". But the big problem is...the advice is just wrong. It's all based on common prejudices, exaggerated to shock and embellished with made up "facts". If you've any doubt look at the first page for any destination and look at what they try to shock you with. Then, google that. You'll find it was made up. That's another give-away of how crooked it is. "Travel tips". That's "do's" and "don'ts". Why are all of their tips "don'ts"? Oh, except the ones that are slipped in to support paid advertisers. Some go the other way too. "Never take a taxi in Mexico"- just wrong- and look; Hertz is a big advertising client. Bottom line, the site is as crooked as a dog's hind leg and just as useful for your travel plans. I really dream of meeting someone that thought up a site like this one day. It would be nice to know what kind of people can be such oxygen thieving vermin. Oh, they pay google for top placement in search results; it'll be the first advert you see for ANY search involving ANYWHERE a tourist would go. "Don't do evil". Right. A total crook can pay to be the first search result on any travel query. It really pains me to think how many people have done stupid things and ruined trips just so this POS can get a few advertising dollars.
