Is dgemu.com Safe?

I downloaded a ROM from this site years ago when I was a freshman in high school. After downloading the ROM, I received a confirmation/thank you message from the site in the form of a pop-up. Harmless? The pop-up thank you message invited me to visit a porn site after downloading and contained an uncensored sexual image. NOT SAFE FOR CHILDREN!

The site provided good source of roms but they used a moronic download system which prevent you from getting larger rom files unless you purchase their download point. Alternative method they use -- forcing you to post TONS of messages in the forum to get for what they called a "point conversion" (post count = point conversion) in order to download the larger rom files you desired. I'm sure it's pretty useless for some people out there. Anyway, the site is safe and virus-free.

If you go to sign up for their forums to download stuff, there's a message saying "Please take a moment to review these rules detailed below. If you do not comply with these rules, we reserve the right to remotely load your computer with hideous photos of unspeakable acts and report you to your local authorities AND your parents." I don't know if they're just trying to scare people or what, but that doesn't seem kosher to me. Personally I think you'd have to be crazy to sign up after reading that since it's just not worth the risk.
