Not good neither bad word for me, some drivers looks works in some cases, if there isn't 100% sure what driver computer use. Some drivers looks works fine, but it will be better to download some drivers in manufacturer's own site.

The good reviews are fake it's adware shit

Addware. Otherwise useless program. Doesn't even show what drivers you need to update, just shows it's ridiculously huge price and asks you to pay for otherwise free driver downloads. If you really want a good DriverUpdater, use DriverMax. It's free atm.

Absolutely USELESS Technical Support. Their product has *big* problems - and when you contact Technical Support, they will not help you - but instead simply close the ticket without any response. Have you noticed why your problem isn't listed in their FAQ's ? It's because they don't care; and aren't aware there is a problem.

maybe they can give good instruction, but their products cost much, just like scam

Not very specific. Been using DD myself for a few years now and the most common problem(?) I encounter is they often update the tool which requires that the older tool first be removed and THEN the new can be downloaded, then installed. But they usually provide a notice when this is necessary. We may never find such a tool that will always scan and direct perfectly every time, as drivers and applications usually update faster than such vendors can keep up. As with malware, no one can develop a fix until the problem is identified and understood. And almost invaribly, no one product or service will catch everything all of the time. DD does offer one very helpful piece of advice that applies in nearly all circumstances. If an application is working as it should, it is usually best not to update it's drivers unless the manufacturer has made the update specifically available to you. In other words "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Also, I have found that DD as with many vendors, it can take a bit of time to properly indentify the cause of a problem and offer or create a workable solution. But one of another, I have always known them to come through. And of course, regardless what is in play, it is always our own responsibility to ensure we create a Restore point or other reliable backup prior to removing or installing new applications or drivers. In any case, if you are demanding a refund from DD, I would expect they will come through. Good Luck.

Unable to download drivers, only thing you can download is that stupid driver genius that doesn't even do anything..

Made my computer experience far worse instead of better. A scam! Avoid! Best way to download drivers is always through your computer manufactures' website with your service tag and model, or through Windows Update.

Need register key to use it but you know it just after the intallation. Then you learn that it's impossible to uninstall. Spyware included.

Drivers HQ used to be a go-to website for device drivers. I could find drivers here that I couldn't find anywhere else. That is when it was free. Back then, a person could search the database to find a needed driver. Now, the user must use Driver Detective to scan the computer for drivers. The MAJORITY of the time, the Driver Detective scan incorrectly identifies the needed driver. When I asked the website owner if there were a way to independently scan the website for the correct driver, he answered back that "no, Driver Detective must be used." When DriversHQ first became a paid website, I believed that the site's integrity and accessibility would continue. So, I enthusiastically paid$ for lifetime access to the website. However, I have been proven wrong about the continued dependability and accessibility of the website. Now I don't recommend it to anyone. If you want to pay money so that you MIGHT find the correct driver, go for it! It's sad to see the demise of what was once an excellent website for downloading drivers.

You have to pay for the software after it scans your computer. No where on the site does it say it costs money.

Don't try to get your money back, it ain't happening.Useless piece of software

not malicious, just useless. "driver detective" appears to be benign: ***** I installed in a "sand box" with no suspicious events. I didn't run it after it was installed. the software itself , however, gets poor reviews: ***** it got average 1.5 stars from 255 users at *****
