Is eckman.co.uk Safe?

Like previous post I ordered items totalling £55 from this website on May 13, with my credit card charged same day. They have since advised me that due to "overwhelming demand" all items are out of stock and have emailed me so far with 3 different "in stock" dates. So obviously their customer order system is not linked to their stock system (if they even have one), and simply takes people's money whether the goods exist or not. I have now emailed them 3 times to cancel the order and requested a refund, but guess what - no reply. I will never use these people again, and I suggest no-one else should.

My father in law bought a petrol grass and bush trimmer for £159 from this company through their catalogue and paid by cheque. Then spent 2 month trying to get it from them. It took me emailing them and threatening Solicitor and court action for him to finally receive most of the order (parts missing). We have spent the last month trying to get them to answer the customer services phone and constantly email them but they stopped replying to the emails and do not answer the phone. Have gone to the Police then Citizens Advice and am still fighting with this.
