Please don't take info from Ecowatch without checking the sources in the Ecowatch-articles themselves and doing separate fact-checking. Melissa Zimdars' list of false, misleading and clickbait-y news sources lumps Ecowatch in with political ones "that provide generally verifiable information in support of certain points of view or political orientations", in this case environmentalism. ***** Mediabias/factcheck reviews Ecowatch unflatteringly as having mild levels of conspiracy-mongering and strong levels of pseudoscience while noting the site does have many legitimate articles. ***** ZenMate SafeSearch -Chrome addon reports no malware, phishing or scamminess on the site. As opposed to "No fake news, strong bias or false information detected" in its credibility-section, ZenMate reports (more-prominent-than-usual?) bias and possible misinformation detected on the Ecowatch-site. Ecowatch has been a frequent guest writer for MintPress News. ***** All these contributions on the MintPress News' site have only been credited to Ecowatch. This is unlike articles on Ecowatch's own site that are credited to specific individuals even when also credited to different sites. Specific individual writers get credit even the top of an article simply says "The Guest Contributor". Ecowatch has often been cited by the SourceWatch-Wiki. ***** (See mywot-reviews of sourcewatch.org.) Ecowatch includes articles by The Conversation that's been reviewed as more balanced. The former republishes on its site articles aligning with its views by the latter, but the latter has expressed skepticism about harm by ocean plastic can't be found by the Ecowatch site search. https://www.ecowatch.com/community/the_conversation ***** ***** EcoWatch also republishes articles by highly-acclaimed World Resources Institute. https://www.ecowatch.com/community/world_resources_institute ***** Many other contributors are left-leaning, which is to be expected from a site with a name like this. Skepticism is in order.

This is a mostly good site with detailed links to support their claims and the links are from reliable medical and scientific sources. This site is trustworthy.

Hodgepodge of the mostly sound mixed with rank (and deadly) nonsense.   If you can tell which is which there is no need to bother with the site.  If you can not tell then for the safety of yourself and your community then stay away.   Not recommended.

A paid for by Soros web page who have the opinion that any power or development is inherently evil. Their opinions are anti modern living and are condemning the human race back to the stone age.
Helpful
An ideologue based site that plays fast and loose with the facts to support it's agenda.   It may be a good agenda, but lies and miss-truths still make this a poor site.
