If you understand the risks associated with cloud based computing, then this site is, currently, safe. The problem with cloud based computing is that they host several sites, so any infection in one area, could spread into another area. Much the same as a home based network, where one computer is infected, it might have the capability of infecting others on the same network. With any cloud based service it is always best to rely on the most up to date information. This site has previously had infections but is currently listed as clean by several companies.

They have been hammering at my router firewall for 2 weeks. Router is set to report attacks.

This is a content-streaming provider. If you block them, you wont be able to watch certain videos, etc.

I don't understand g7w's comment: linguistically, the reference is circular in that since this page is about ***** and the comment seems to be referring to that domain, it is effectively saying that ***** is used '...internally by ***** for media presentation delivery' Also, the term 'internally' provides no assurances for those who are not 'internal' to ***** and yet find their browsers are referring to edgecast.com.
