Site was linked to in e-mail spam claiming I won a free fax. Wouldn't trust.

I don't trust this site. Don't use your real credit card. Use a throwaway or virtual one but be aware that your money could be wasted.

They send from efax.com to many diferent mail adresses spam! In our country they forward to efax.es! We are not a client of this company and why they send us spam, that we get a fax?

I would not use based on WOT users ratings.

They rip you off, then make it impossible to cancel your service. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!! I had to refuse payment to them through my credit card company in order to get them off my back.

Good luck cancelling. Can't do it on the web site, and when I called the numbers given, one didn't work., and the other only offered to upgrade my account. You can't cancel by e-mail. Eventually the first number worked and I was able to cancel. Avoid this as much as you can. I've used it before, and it was better, now they're just ripping people off.

The eFax Free trial is a scam. Avoid. Money taken out of credit card. Do not trust them.

Visiting this site may lead to negative visitor experience due to the past actions of the owners of this site which may include: distribution of malware, drive by viral downloads, or spamming.

This service is terrible. Trying to cancel is next to impossible. Once you find the contact information - which they bury - the representative was hostile. At the end of the conversation, I had to tell them to listen carefully and to cancel my account outright. Couldn't trust a word they said.

It feeds the word FREE to Google only to find out it is bait and switch

When I'm not sure if I trust a site or not yet, I often use an "alias" to protect mself from spam and the harassment that comes with it. I have an email account and "personality" to go with it, that way my real name and email are safe. If I end up liking & trusting the site, I just update my information. It might sound a little sketchy, but I feel it's necessary to protect yourself, and so far, other than taking a few extra seconds, it's really been working for me - think of it as an extra password.

I just canceled a few minutes ago & HOPE that it worked. If I see a future charge on my CC, I'll be pretty upset. I can't really say if their service actually works or not, since I bought a fax machine before I even completed my trial with them, or before even sending/receiving a single fax. However, when trying to search for the well-hidden instructions about how to cancel, I did notice several "Why was I charged for doing ..... " questions in the "Most Popular" section of the FAQ. That's often a sign of your regular monthly subscription price NOT including several things which you'll use most often, thus you'll be charged extra for these things. But I don't know for sure about that & isn't the main reason I'm giving them negative reviews. I actually wouldn't even have ever seen those FAQ's if I hadn't been forced to thoroughly search for how to cancel my account. THAT'S the reason for the warnings here. There is no "Click this box to cancel your account", but rather you are forced to jump through hoops via a NON-24 hour chat-line and/or telephone to get that done. That kind of slimey business deal is a deal-breaker for me. If I need your services & you provide them well, then I'll happily pay you every penny that it's worth. But if I need to cancel for ANY reason, I ant it t be quick, easy to find, simple, & efficient. I DON'T want to be connected to a sales representative who turns what SHOULD be a 2 minute deal, into a 15 minute sales pitch about how good of a deal they'll give me if I just stay with them for another couple months. That's not a model of a good & trustworthy company, but rather one which uses sneaky & inconvienient policies in order to assure that they can charge you as long as possible, even if you aren't using their services. So for that very reason, one which could have been EASILY prevented, eFax gets a very firm "Do Not Use" rating from myself.

I started to sign up for the "trial" offer, but realized I didn't have my credit card #. I closed the page, and later received an email asking if I wanted to try a free trial of the site. I replied, saying that I did not want to join, and that I wanted my email removed from their system. A week later, and I'm still fighting them over a simple matter of my email address. I would not trust them with any other information after this experience.

eFax overcharges customers. I paid them $20 per month for 5 years. When I went to cancel my account, they miraculously offered a substantially better subscription rate - $50/year - for the same service. I hate business practices like that. Top that experience off with the fact that trying to find their cancellation area was next to impossible. Go figure. Do yourself a favor: Don't trust them, don't use them, go elsewhere.
