I agree with many other who have commented that the most likely reason for the low rating of this site is sabotage by right wing, neo-nazi, tea party types that despise intelligent debate. Because well....they are not very ***** the main.

The poor WOT ratings of this site are example of a form of internet terrorism: Those of opposite moral and political beliefs are attempting to scare people away from considering the arguments that these authors comprehensively offer.

If you support democracy, this is a great site for you. Like others, I suspect negative votes reflect a deliberate effort by authoritarians to suppress good arguments.

This is an important site which links from the book The Spirit Level, which has been widely praised. Like all books which posit macro-political viewpoints, it has its detractors, and I might venture to suggest the low trust has something to do with black-hat tactics by opponents, rather than any risks with the site.
