Is fax.com Safe?

I joined for a 30 days trial, where they take your cc info. Within the appropriate amount of time, I decided to cancel, and so clicked on a link to do so. It (surprise) didn't go through. I tried again the next day and saw that there was a message saying that the link wasn't working and to clink a newly provided link for service via email. Tried emailing them twice on two consecutive days. Neither was replied to, though I printed my emails to them on the website as proof for my bank should I need it. I was charged and needed it, because the customer service guy said I had to cancel by phone (though I have a pic of the "cancel account' link from the site). Hope this helped.

I was recently debited by them although I haven't used their service. I am attempting now to resolve the issue without the kind of response you would expect from a reputable company. Asking for a copy of the transaction I've been charged for I am told to log on to my account to get it even though I have no account.
