There is a slight malware risk here- and the suspicious part is it is on a site that pissed a lot of powerful people off. https://www.google.com/transparencyreport/safebrowsing/diagnostic/index.html#url=firstlook.org

The intercept (firstlook.org) is a high quality investigative reporting site primarily focused on civil liberties and the US national security state.

Overall: Headed by Glenn Greenwald, firstlook.org (mostly through its main product The Intercept) is a pretty unique news/commentary site that focuses on civil liberties and government secrets. There has been internal debate over how funding might shape content, but I'm not that concerned (especially by comparison to Fox and other "News"). Good Site: Greenwald was one of Edward Snowden's confidants, so in addition to covering under-reported news, the Intercept regularly publishes installments of Snowden's secret files. Opinions/Politics: It's a mildly progressive news site, and it revels in its nonconformity. Also, Greenwald is, well, Greenwald. Child Safety: Acceptable, but with occasional profanity, so no full credit.

There is a lot of interesting or important information on this site. It is legitimate and I have been introduced to many concepts from this site.
