Site was OK before, but on ***** download installed WSE_Astromenda malware: Took over FireFox/MyYahoo home page and added 4 other programs. Disabled my excellent Internet Security program! Took major anti-malware program to fully remove from Registry! Lost 2 days. Avoid!!!

Downloads an EXE instead of a traditional font format like TTF or WOFF... ?

This site installs PUP and/or malware! Beware and don't install ANY fonts you download from this site. You can say DECLINE and NO to ALL of their options and STILL get a PUP or MLAWARE installed. You have been warned, stay away! As far as legal issues, this site distributes fonts illegally!

They steal fonts from hard-working font designers who are trying to make few dollars from their creations. Fonts101 takes those copyrighted fonts and gives them away for free, just so fonts101 can make money from their ads. Often they even delete the copyright information and claim the fonts as their own! They ignore any request to remove the illegally posted fonts.

I started to download a font but it came bundled with three different search bars and other scan tools that I could not choose to NOT install, so I canceled the download. The unwanted programs installed ANYWAY, and I spent much time removing them and all their parts. I think I still have some things infecting me, and it's going to cost me more time to get back to where I started. Don't use this site!

Three or four unwanted programmes installed despite deselecting them at install time

After visiting this this site and downloading some fonts I got the worst case of malware and viruses that I have had in 10 years. Something turned off my anti virus. Watch out.

1. Eset NOD 32 gives 2 warnings when trying to download a font. 2. Downloads fucking executables, when you download a font and it's .exe, it's a virus. Fonts are .zip or .ttf

No font installed. Junk tool bars and changes search engine provider in Chrome and IE.

Installs a toolbar without consent or forwarning. Requires the download of an executable file.

When you download a font from ***** it downloads as an installer. Then when you run the installer you get prompted to install toolbars and such. MSE flags this as some type of Adware. Please stay away from this site!

Bundles fonts with adware. You can opt-out of the toolbars, but most users would fall for installing them without reading the text carefully.

It gives malware when you download the fonts. First it comes with a Webdownloader for just downloading 25 Kb ? Then it installs a Malware, in my case it was IncrediBar, a toolbar which taking over Google and all search modules for all browsers. Same in French : Le site donne un malware lorsqu'on appuie sur "Download fonts". D'abord, il nous présente un WebDownloader pour juste télécharger 25 Ko ? Ensuite, il installe un malware, dans mon cas c'était IncrediBar, une barre d'outils incrusté partout et dans tous les navigateurs.

Pure junk as when you install your fonts it also installs the junk tool bars and overtakes all your browser configurations. Even when you opt out of installing the toolbars. Avoid at all costs. Also this has confirmed the reason why I hate windows as random crap can install itself and overtake your p.c.'s settings.

Installs the Babylon Toolbar and changes your search options without permission. Even when I aborted the font installation, the toolbar still got installed into three different browsers and was very difficult to remove. STAY AWAY!!!!!

I tried to download a font, but it downloaded an executable file instead. Not trusting.

Be careful what you download from this site. Got a keylogger on one of their "font installer" packages. Seemed suspicious that I couldn't download a font directly, but I didn't think anything more of it. Suddenly, weird charges show up on our credit card from iTunes. Out of curiousity, I ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and it picked up a couple of viruses on the installer file. Related? A slight chance. But I wouldn't trust this website again.

***** is a really good place to get tons of fonts. When you download each font, do a custom install, instead of the default. By selecting the custom installation radio bution, you can uncheck Startnow Toolbar, Startnow Homepage and Bing default search. I always perform a security scan of all of the fonts downloaded, via ZoneAlarm Extreme Security Suite (new version). I do not trust any website completely. My advice is to proceed with caution on all unfamiliar websites.
