You can't use your freedompop-connected cellphone like an ordinary cellphone. You can't make calls with it. Instead, all voice calls need to go through their android or ios messaging app.
For windows phone users, you won't be able to use the phone number allocated to you, and have to rely other messaging apps, which will not connect to the freedompop ecosystem.

I would like to have something good to say about FreedomPop, but I don't. There ordering system is poor, they are OVERDUE with shipping my purchase, there is no apparent way to contact them to inquire about it, and it will take a LOT of goodness on their part, starting NOW, to get a good review from me, Ever.

Im embarresed to make calls because the qulity is horrable.
No matter where im calling from. Have to be greatful I even have service. Horrable!

They ask for too much personal info just to see if your area qualifies. Very suspicious behavior, may be collecting e-mail addresses for marketing purpose. Just be careful here.

Just signed up but the concept is interesting.
Thing to note you won't get 3G coverage and the reason behind this is the license fees for the 3G frequency are higher then 4g
