It is used to collect information from your computer, a malicious form of the trojan horse virus, DO NOT TRUST!

There must be a million of these sites on the web, and how they gain access to a person's computer, or manage to sneak in when you're loading another website. They ALL make the same ridiculous claims: "Congratulations! You are the 1000th person to visit this site today. Please fill in your email and zip code claim your valuable prize!" Or, "You have been selected by our panel to test and keep these fabulous items. To get started, fill in your email and zip code." And how about this one, "Claim your choice of the fabulous gifts: A brand new Apple IPad, or IPod Shuffle, or Dell Laptop, or IPhone with Android! This not a gimmick. All you need to do is fill in your email address and cellphone number..." The minute they get your cell number, they're going to bombard your phone with Spam. When you're transferred to their website, they ask for the usual shipping information, them hit you with this: All you need to do is "take advantage" of two offers from our sponsors, and your gift will be on it's way to your door!": I don't know ANYONE who has "taken advantage" of two of the offers from their sponsor's page ( which meant giving out their credit card numbers, to pay for goods, services or subscriptions they didn't want or need, in hopes of getting that brand new laptop or IPad), who has EVER received a gift of any kind! What's more, these scammers will PAY people who maintain Freebie sites, blogs, or other web pages to offer this stuff on their site as genuine. If you claim to the site's owner, you will invariably get a nasty reply! The webmaster will say the offers are quite genuine, and he /she him/herself has received the laptop for participating, and they can give you the names of several other (obviously ficticious) people who have also received their own valuable gift! You'll be warned about Trolling on their site, and stirring up trouble by posting false accusations about this reputable company Always follow the gold rule, when dealing with this stuff. "If it sounds too got to be true, IT IS!" Rule number two is: NEVER, EVER give our personal information on an unsecure site! The BEST idea for buying ANYTHING on line, is to use a PREPAID, RE-LOADABLE Visa or Mastercard, or even better, PAYPAL. With a prepaid, re-loadable Debit card, all a scammer can get, if they manage rip off your account numbers, is what you happen to have loaded on your card at that one particular time. The card numbers are useless after that, because the thief can't reload the card, without the Email address and password you used to register for the account, your PIN and security word (Mother's Maiden name, Father's middle name, name of the first school you attended, etc. which ever you decide to use.), and, the best feature of all... the company that issues the card WON'T allow overdrafts. So, the thief can't run up overdraft fees on your account! When it comes to the Internet shopping, it's better to be over careful, than sorry later on. Re-loadable Debits cards are easily available for FREE online. You can also get them in Wal Mart, Walgreens, Grocery Stores, Gift Shops...practically any place you like to shop. Paypal is is free to join, and they have a number of useful options, such as their "Bill Me Later" accounts, and their own credit card accounts. You can deposit as much as you like in your Paypal account, or nothing at all, if you choose. They can deal directly with your bank if you give them your correct account information. No, I'm not advertising these two offers! I really hate seeing people be ripped off by these thieves and scammers who prefer stealing from others, to find a real day job, and actually working for a living like the rest of us! if you use PayPal, ONLY PAYPAL knows your private info, such as credit card numbers, bank account numbers, etc., and they will NEVER disclose them to anyone. The seller ,must deal with Paypal if they want to be paid! I personally, prefer to use Paypal. But for the sites that don't accept PayPal, I use a re-loadable, prepaid debit card,

It just runs you around in circles if you don't click what the site wants??????

Bad site keeps popping up claiming you've been selected, obviously fake,
2
Continues to pop up claiming I've been selected. Although it starts out saying you just have to take the short survey then pick your prize, it then tells you you have to participate in 2 offers, and so on. It also transfers you to other "bad" sites.
