Gawker is run by morons who will allow your sensitive information to be stolen by hackers. EVERYONE who has joined Gawker has to change their passwords on ALL of the sites that they belong to. Great job A-holes

9 (!) JavaScript web bugs for tracking/advertising companies (per NoScript). Good privacy? Trustworthy? See http://w2.eff.org/Privacy/Marketing/web_bug.html
These guys breach the privacy of the people they cover. They're not real journalists, they're hacks that steal content from otehr sites and cross posts. ridiculous.
has blatant ad for a known rogue av program - kids don't know better and get infected with this garbage
Avoid this website at all costs.
Takes things out of context, hateful, preaches tolerance but is then intolerant.

amateur journalism, take anything you read here with a grain of salt.
As the rest of the gawker sites, save for lifehacker and io9, gawker.com is a sensationalist online blog, not far from the printed Enquirer. If you do read a story here FOLLOW THE LINKS AND GET THE REAL STORY NOT THIS SENSATIONAL CRAP!
Gawker makes you click multiple times in a row, often three or four in quick succession in order to go back to your point of origin. This website resists allowing you to leave the site with all the browser tricks it can code into the site. This is reason enough to suspect the site of other examples of bad behavior and avoid it altogether.
Poor security - leaks data.
