Is giganews.com Safe?

My description about Giganews: otherwise good server, but server itself lost too much data if you download any multi-part postings even if there is par2-files available. I have a poor customer experience also, reason is: prices are too high and server speed is still too slow.

They can't offer me their service because I used a prepaid credit card and used a VPN to register to their website, they even asked to provide my real IP address as well as my exact location as a verification process. To me that's rather suspicious. I would not recommend using their service to anyone who actually care about privacy.

You really can't go wrong with Giganews. Their site is always well done - no problems there, and absolutely no popups! They consistently have the highest retention for usenet binaries and are known for having great customer support. The site is good, they won't scam you or anything, but the service to Usenet is a heavily used medium of sharing illegally obtained, copywritten material. Overall, their prices are good, but I can personally recommend Astraweb for being cheaper and providing the same service, with 10 or so days lower binary retention.
