Is govdelivery.com Safe?

Sent messages purporting to be from *****. Some of the links looked like they might have eventually redirected to the .gov site(s) via the govdelivery.com domain, but .gov sites do not participate in such skullduggery! socialsecurity.gov doesn't behave this way in my experience, leading me to believe that govdelivery.com is phishing. govdelivery.com is now registered to VISI, Inc, a company in Eden Prairie, MN, which hosts hundreds of subdomains and shares name servers with hundreds more.

Opt-out spammer that does not offer or honor unsubscribes in the emails that they send. Generally does not spam huge purchased lists or "Millionez CDs" (cheap, spammer-produced lists of millions of email addresses), and does not use malware or retaliate against complainers. With those caveats, this is a deliberate spammer that feels entitled to send email to anybody at all without stopping it even if they ask. IMHO, scum.
