Beyond scammy, many are trying to install malware on your computer. Good example, of their click bait, "The Once Great Larry Bird Is Now Depressingly Washing Cars And Eating Processed Foods", which leads to a "story" about "30 NBA players who lost everything". Not one word is true. Just fabricated non-sense for scammy advertisers. Oxygen thieves. It's the only accurate term for the people running that site.

Clicking on any of the 'trending' stories opens up a new page that is redirected to a site called "api.content.ad". That site forces you to click on one of those 'your computer is not working-click here now to fix it' dialog boxes before you can exit the site. Sketchy.
