This is a UK based ISP (Broadband and telephone line rental) company who are very reasonably priced and the calls charges are much cheaper than a lot of companies as they don't charge a connection fee for any calls and charge 2 pence per minute and use 20:1 broadband ratio instead of 50:1 This is from their site: The "contention ratio" is the ratio to which available bandwidth is distributed between users. (The maximum number of other people you will have to share the connection infrastructure with). If you choose a provider with a 50:1 contention ratio this would mean that the maximum number of people you could be sharing the connection with at anytime is 49 other people. If all 50 people were downloading at the same time then your download speed could drop hugely – especially at peak times.
