Is hound.com Safe?

I believe that they are getting email addresses from social meeting sites because I only heard about Hound when they started sending me advertising about 'horse' jobs after visiting 'Equestrian Cupid', an equine social site. I have never applied for a job working with horses at any time. They have,... and use,... the capacity to get into sites where personal information is supposed to be kept private. If they can hack them, just imaging what they can do with your email account.

This site has been a very useful tool in my job search. They may advertise a lot, but after I signed up the advertising emails stopped - and the site has proved to be great in finding more available jobs in my industry. I actually highly recommend this site, and just referred it to a couple friends last week at a networking event.
