This company offers self-powered wheelchairs for the disabled, "to be paid by MediCare at little to no cost to the customer". It's advertising has a cloying tone of "charity" for the elderly and disabled; but MediCare may not pay anything, and may decide the customer has committed fraud. Hoveround walks away with the money in any case. This website collects your personal information over an unsecured connection, uses invasive tracking mechanisms, and advertises via the ColocateUSA email spamming network. Risks: tracking and spam, credit card fraud, identity theft, MediCare fraud. Do not provide any personal or financial data. Medicare pays for these for people who are too disabled to walk around inside their own home. Period. It might be useful to go shopping etc, but Medicare doesn't pay for that, no matter what the aggressive salespeople say. If you get one and Medicare audits your doctor's chart and finds you didn't qualify, you're the one who will be accused of fraud.
