Is ibario.com Safe?

iBario is a company that was assumed to be merely producing adware - a nuisance, sometimes difficult to get rid of, but basically classed as Potentially Unwanted Programs. According to Trend Micro they have been involved in something far more reprehensible than PUPs : Trojans, botnets, click-fraud and BitCoin mining. One of their products was "InstallBrain" and Microsoft's Encyclopedia entry for the Sefnit Trojan mentions it by name : "Sefnit can be downloaded and installed by a software bundler called InstallBrain. We detect versions of InstallBrain that install Sefnit as Win32/Brantall." iBario no longer include InstallBrain in their list of products; it now has its own website (https://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/www.installbrain.com) The gist of the article is that iBario, based in Israel, used its links with Ukrainian developers to bundle Sefnit Trojans with its adware, co-opting infected machines into the Mevade botnet (the one that made news by using Tor and increasing the Tor userbase overnight by 500%).
