Is ibtimes.co.uk Safe?

Blocks access to news articles if you have an ad-blocked installed, demands that it be disabled to access said content. ***** Claims to provide "award-winning journalism," but a simple glance at all the click bait articles in the sidebar is enough to say otherwise.

Website has very clickbait-like "news" stories, which are totally blurred out if you have an ad-blocker active. In addition, i got a popup to "Win a free iPhone," which was definitely suspicious. I believe their site asking users to disable their ad-blockers is not for benevolent intentions, and may be used for spamming.

Wants users to disable Ad Blocking to read their stories.  I consider this a negative business practice.  Shockwave also reports unresponsiveness problems on the site with some of the content.   There are pop ups here Use caution when visiting this site.

Received a "your system is infected, click here!" popup from them today, as I was reading one of their articles. This is a tactic often used by criminals to scare people into buying software that purports to protect you against malware. In fact, the software usually does nothing at all, or worse, is itself malware. International Business Times UK certainly doesn't seem ethical or trustworthy; no reputable business would resort to this tactic. Consequently, their domain is now blocked on all of my devices.

So poorly-produced (and then onwards-syndicated to other news sites, amazingly) that it doesn't even employ copy-writers who use spell-checkers, let alone ones who bother to do even a basic proof-reading. Minsitry [sic] of Defence is a term readers would recognise, is it? This is supposed to be a UK site. Why is the name of the author for this article INDIAN? There are many such people in the UK. However, for a job requiring a good standard of ENGLISH, as many Indians DO have, indeed. "Priya" [the author] "is fluent in Russian, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi. " So why is she writing in English?
