It is a good site about development news and can be watched to be self improved, time by time but I don't know if they have some built in dangerous scripts which I would vote for NO.

I am receiving spam from this site, advertising the "cloud-con online conference", whatever this is.

I received an invitation to a mobile web conference from idevnews.com - the content matter was preety good and relevant to a project I was working on. Especially the presentation from the IBM and Oracle guys. Looking over their older archives, I was able to access previous conferences related to my field of work - All in all, a good site with quality content.

Keeps sending unsolicted marketing emails to an otherwise inactive email address.

Good website, lots of useful webinars on relevant IT technology solutions. Of course it is marketing (that's *mostly* what the internet is used for).

idevnews.com was spammed in December, 2011 When you tell the registrar ENOM about their problem, you get the same old irresponsible buck-passing duck-shoving fob-off - "we are only the registrar - complain to the hosting ISP" - as if that exonerated them from ethical responsibility. You can see countless examples like this at the ENOM spammed domains blacklist published constantly at ***** - when you compare ENOM with other registrars they show the worst record for support of high volume spamming. Typically about half of the domains registered at Demand Media's ENOM is detected in unlawful spam (recently 46% - 1140 of 2478). ENOM is sponsoring this illegal spamming operation, and accepts payments for the unlawful domain name registrations. Where Go Daddy has shown corporate responsibility, ENOM shows corporate irresponsibility. And gutless ICANN accredits them, while pocketing the accreditation fees. Some would accuse ENOM of providing a safe harbor for crime. Others would wonder if there is any vestigial trace of business ethics at ICANN.

I have viewed many online conferences on idevnews.com over the past 3 years and seen presentations from IBM, Oracle, Red Hat, Progress Software among many other companies. I have had no problems with this site.
