And they send out tons of spam from their associates: *****

This is a one of the core sites most soon-to-be expatriates look at. It can be a little spammy, but the information emails "Daily postcards" are nice to get. Informative, encouraging, up-to-date, run as an actual EZine. Yes, they do want to make money by selling you things, but you get to the point where you can spot those in your inbox and delete them without wasting any time. It's a good place to go and get some information about almost any country.
