Is investorpoint.com Safe?

This website presents articles and "news" items many of which are copied verbatim from other websites. In the course of doing this, it lists the site to which the item is attributed, but does not always provide a link (as required by law). This activity constitutes a violation of U.S. and international copyright laws. Furthermore, authors of those articles and "news" items are often compensated by their legitimate publisher on the basis of "page views," or the number of times readers access the article. When InvestorPoint copies these articles, authors are denied compensation to which they are legally entitled. I am one of the authors thus affected, as InvestorPoint has illegally copied six of my recent articles without my permission, or the permission of Seeking Alpha, the original publisher of those articles. Many other writers for Seeking Alpha have been victims of the same activity. The operators of this website are engaged in theft, insofar as they engage in the practice of copying copyrighted works without authorization and without properly compensating the authors of those works.
