These guys rock. I've heard about them once in IEEE Spectrum (magazine), and they're getting Laptops to [poor] kids in poor countries for free. They even have a electric crank generator, for those without access to electricity! And some Wireless capabilities, IIRC.

A great project. I hope many kids around the world will get to experience computers. The laptop itself I've never tried but it seems to be very rugged, pretty cheap ($100), and yet quite useful.
