Is limewire.com Safe?

This site has been shut down due to a court order; it is now useless and all other comments should be ignored. However, while LimeWire WAS around, it was a great program, you just needed to be careful of what you downloaded, just like everywhere else on the Internet.

WE HAVE VERY RECENTLY BECOME AWARE OF UNAUTHORIZED APPLICATIONS ON THE INTERNET PURPORTING TO USE THE LIMEWIRE NAME. WE DEMAND THAT ALL PERSONS USING THE LIMEWIRE SOFTWARE, NAME, OR TRADEMARK IN ORDER TO UPLOAD OR DOWNLOAD COPYRIGHTED WORKS IN ANY MANNER CEASE AND DESIST FROM DOING SO. WE FURTHER REMIND YOU THAT THE UNAUTHORIZED UPLOADING AND DOWNLOADING OF COPYRIGHTED WORKS IS ILLEGAL. IF YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED LIMEWIRE SOFTWARE IN THE PAST, FILES ON YOUR PERSONAL COMPUTERS CONTAINING PRIVATE OR SENSITIVE INFORMATION MAY HAVE BEEN INADVERTENTLY SHARED AND YOU SHOULD USE YOUR BEST EFFORTS TO REMOVE THE SOFTWARE FROM YOUR COMPUTERS.

Bad site. Lots and lots of porn and corrupted files that will infect your computer there are a lot of alternatives to downloading P2P but using limewire nooooooooo! Every time I see a person use limewire and its someone I know I'm like why use this program !?! P2P sharing everyone knows that's its a risky business . Without any anti-virus to protect you its like walking buck naked in the middle of an intersection!!! So basically you know without any knowledge of free, reliable anti-virus or any common sense !!! So what I'm basically saying is know your sources and don't be a victim of viruses because when you do experience it you will regret it and tell other peeps to not experience what you been through. Just by typing in yu-gi-oh I found a list of porno's and by typing in pokemon trailers it was corrupt file which means: virus virus virus! At that time I didn't know better because I was naive but now I'm telling you this DON'T DOWNLOAD LIMEWIRE! (because you will regret it I promise!) Thank God! Their a**es finally got caught !
