Is lowincomehousing.us Safe?

Adding an email address to the 'get help' box leads to a .com site not affiliated with any government programs: "We may receive compensation when you purchase products or services from advertisers. You understand that consent is not a condition of purchase.". Every time a listing is clicked, a box pops up for receiving a cellular phone. Even after signing up, many listings still lack additional information (such as web address) that was said to be available after sign-up. I have just signed up today, so I'm not sure how much spam is generated in the user's email by having entered information on this site. Also, on sign-up, I was encouraged to use a .com site with suspicious privacy terms in order to allegedly search for unclaimed monies; there was also a link encouraged for a credit score, but I abstained from even clicking that one.

This site lists low-income housing in an area. From my own knowledge of the area the site seems trustworthy-but when you try to get details on a listing the site requires that you create an account. It's free but given the information it provides the requirement seems unnecessary and therefore suspicious.
