Is mailgun.com Safe?

This domain and/or its subdomains offer toxic financials, toxic sex, and other deals in advanced stages of putrefaction, obfuscated by chain-redirects from links in gibbering spam email. Risks: tracking, spam, fraud, identity theft, disease. Do not provide any financial or personal data.

This is a fantastic site, if used properly. We use it to send high volume email to our students and instructors about their assignments, grades and such. It is fantastic for such and very low cost. If you use it to send spam, you can bite the big pickle.

Found in the header of a spam message: ***** ([166.78.70.6]) - IP addressed traced to this domain. I see that others think so, too.. Nice try, but the block is coming. Spam message: "POWER Engineers, Inc. may have several new internet directories that have posted your information, please verify for accuracy." From the message header: ***** ([104.130.122.119]). The IP address is traced to Mailgun, Inc, out of San Antonio, TX. Per Whois lookup, Mailgun and ***** are one and the same. RED

I got this spam email via ***** I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR THIS. I got this spam with attachment (possibly dangerous). spam support AKA ***** www.mailgun.com ***** 14/07 *****

Not a spammer, but rather a virtual email service used by many legitimate outfits. Whilst their clients might spam, they don't.. at least directly AFAIK. So, rate their client (check the email source), not the provider and also report spammers to Mailgun.
