I was excited to find a website that would reconnect me with information about network security because I have fallen very far behind the times & I use to love studying (not practicing) such things. However, I am a bit upset that I let myself slip so far behind as I blindly walked into their trap. The webpages contain plain text & pdf files of information. I was happily going through the pages when I copied the text from one article , pasted it into my noteTab Light software, saved it & then immediatelly greeted by a message from McAfee! Somehow by copying the text from the webpage & saving it as a .txt file it infected me. I will post the message below. If they are doing this to keep people who dont deserve such knowledge away from their site to protect such knowledge, then I understand but I do hope they are not mallicious or trying to hurt my computer. I'm very poor & handicapped so my comp is my only access to the outside world. Please don't damage my computer, I wont go back to your website & I will delete the material that I copied to txt to read. but please don't harm my computer. McAfee has automatically blocked and quarantined an infected file on your computer. You can restore quarantined files from the Restore pane in SecurityCenter. To those who want to visit this website: If you don't know how to prevent stuff like this from happening then you shouldn't visit it. Perhaps only people who deserve that knowledge should go there & that is why they infect those of us who aren't intelligent enough. I believe in free information exchange but I also believe in protecting information too. Please, dont damage my computer milw0rm.com , I have officially lost interest in utilizing websites that will come up on a google search as a sources for information regarding network security.
