Is misco.co.uk Safe?

I have always rated Misco very highly that is until recently when for the first time I received a Faulty Product and attempted to obtain a replacement!.. I telephoned their "Customer Service" Department and explained that the transformer supplied with my IOMEGA Hard Drive was dead (There should have been 12 volts out put but there was nothing) I was put through to IOMEGA the manufacturer's Customer service where I had to navigate numerous If you want ? press 1 etc stages only to be told after five minutes of listening to advertising recordings that I needed a reference number, if I hadn't got one press 1.. which I did only to be told thank you for your call goodbye then I was disconnected?.. I called Misco back immediately only to spreak to JONATHAN SHAKESPEARE who after I explained the problem very rudely and aggressively stated "IF YOU DON'T HAVE A REFERENCE NUMBER YOU CAN'T SEND IT BACK TO US!". I continued and explained that under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 my contract was with Misco NOT with IOMEGA whereupon he repeated call IOMEGA and get a reference number or it doesn't come back here!.. I informed his that I would see Misco in Court!.. This Idiot was totally out of order and had absolutely no conception of the LAW regarding Distance Selling.. I have written to the managing director and will be commencing County Court Action within 7 days unless I obtain an apology and have the price I paid Refunded!
